LANCASTER – Operation Safe Streets detectives are asking for the public’s assistance with any information regarding a shooting that left a 36-year-old man injured early Wednesday morning in Lancaster.
The incident was reported around 3:34 a.m. Wednesday, June 3,according to Deputy Joshua Stamsek of the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station.
“Lancaster Station deputies responded to a call regarding an assault with a deadly weapon (firearm) in the 1800 block of Linda Avenue,” Stamsek stated. “Upon the deputies’ arrival, they contacted the victim who stated he was shot.”
Walter Finney, 36, was taken to the hospital and treated for “non-life-threatening gunshot wounds,” according to Stamsek.
“Deputies were able to follow the victim’s blood trail to a residence in the 44900 block of Laszlo Avenue, where they were able to locate a crime scene,” Stamsek stated. “At the residence at Laszlo Avenue, deputies came into contact with Ebony Bluitt (age 39), who was arrested at the scene for a warrant unrelated to this incident.”
