PALMDALE – The Energy Network, in partnership with the City of Palmdale, will host a free energy efficiency workshop in Palmdale next week.
The event will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, at the Palmdale City Library, located at 700 East Palmdale Boulevard.
The workshop will cover how homes use and lose energy, giving homeowners insight into where their biggest energy losses are and laying the foundation for residents to becoming more efficient.
Participants will learn how to save on utility bills and will be able to talk to contractors who can answer their questions on improving their home’s energy efficiency.
There also will be information on Home Upgrade rebates and financing available for energy efficiency retrofits. The workshop will include an in-depth discussion on the “whole house” approach to energy efficiency.
Information will be presented in English and Spanish. Refreshments and prizes will be available as well.
Interested persons should RSVP online at http://tenres.com/Palmdale
”Are you looking for ways to make your home more energy efficient and valuable?” asked Palmdale Administrative Analyst Ben Lucha. “This workshop will give you the information you need to get started.” If you’re considering going solar, or if you’re worried about utility bills as the temperatures spike, making the best use of the efficiency of your home is the answer to creating maximum comfort while generating maximum savings.
Palmdale has been working hand-in-hand with The Energy Network, an organization providing rebates and incentives for energy efficiency retrofits through its Home Upgrade program throughout Los Angeles County.
This program is sponsored by The Energy Network, administered by the County of Los Angeles and funded by California utility ratepayers under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission.
