ROSAMOND – A 35-year-old man was found shot to death in Rosamond Thursday morning, authorities said.
Around 10:34 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, Rosamond and Mojave deputies were dispatched to the 2100 block of Sonja Drive regarding a victim of a shooting, according to a news release from the Kern County sheriff’s office.
“Deputies arrived and found a 35-year-old male inside of a residence suffering from a gunshot wound. The male was pronounced deceased at the scene,” the news release states.
“A short time later, deputies located and detained a 56-year-old male subject in the 2600 block of Diamond Street. Homicide detectives were notified and assumed the investigation,” the news release continues.
The suspect was not named in the news release, and the identity of the victim is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

It doesn’t matter what town you live in. I can say the same thing for Antelope Valley but out of respect for my friend that got killed at such a young age for what ever the reasons are, I will not.

Any time you have a town such as Rosamond that makes the Antelope Valley look good,, it doesn’t get any more pathetic than that.
