LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday renewed a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a child molester who sexually assaulted a 10-year-old girl at a Palmdale Denny’s restaurant on New Year’s Day 2014.
Supervisor Michael Antonovich recommended extending the reward, which was set to expire next Monday. It will now be available for at least another 90 days.
The attacker, estimated to be 18 to 20 years old, assaulted the girl about 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 1, 2014, as she exited a bathroom stall at the Denny’s restaurant in the 37000 block of 47th Street East in Palmdale.
Detectives believe the suspect is a panhandler nicknamed “Shrink,” who was often seen at a nearby Chevron station in the early morning hours.
He’s described as white, with shaggy blond hair and a noticeable limp, about 5-foot- 8 and weighing about 150 pounds.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is encouraged to call sheriff’s Detective Eliott Uribe of the Special Victims Bureau at 877-710- 5273, or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
