LANCASTER – Organizers are gearing up for the 13th annual High Desert Fallen Heroes Ride, set for Sunday, Oct. 11.
The ride will begin promptly at 10 a.m. at Antelope Valley Harley-Davidson, 1759 West Avenue J-12 in Lancaster.
This ride supports surviving families of fallen officers from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, California Highway Patrol, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Los Angeles County Fire Department, and the United States Forest Service (Angels National Forest).
The cost to ride in this event is $30 per person or $40 per couple. Registration includes a t-shirt, poker hand, lunch and a run pin. Additional $10 riders will receive a poker hand and lunch.
After the ride, there will be live music from the Bullfrog Blues Band, as well as food, drinks, a 50/50 raffle, auctions, and more.
Pre-registration is encouraged. Both the Palmdale and Lancaster sheriff’s station have registration forms available at their front counters.
Registration on the day of the ride can be done from 8 to 9:55 a.m. at Antelope Valley Harley Davidson.

I’m pretty sure that if you go down there, or even go down to the Harley shop anytime in the next couple weeks, you can get on an e-mail list that will give you plenty of notice next year. Doesn’t help this year I know, but for the future. By the way, there’s also an annual benefit ride for South AV emergency services stupidly scheduled for the same day. You could get on their e-mail list too. Maybe next year you’ll have plenty of notice and they will be scheduled so you can participate in both.

I went last time, its a d ride lots of fun and you get to see some cool stuff, You an show up day of. Its not a issue from what I saw last time may try to make it
