PALMDALE – More than 200 mourners came together Thursday night for a vigil to remember the three people who died Wednesday in a traffic collision on 10th Street West near Avenue N-8 in Palmdale.
The crowd gathered near the crash site to shed tears, trade stories and light candles in memory of Lancaster residents Zachary Elijah Swensen, 21, and London Chae Ortiz-Stodgell, 20, and Rosamond resident Michael James Cole, 32.
The three were members of a local motorcycle club, a source at the vigil said.
London, Zachary and Michael died Wednesday night after the motorcycles they were on collided, authorities said. Read more details on the crash here.
London and Zachary were engaged and had a 3-year-old son, loved ones said. Michael was remembered as a sweet and unpredictable guy who kept those around him smiling and laughing, his friends said.
Online fundraisers have been established to cover the cost of their burials.
