PALMDALE – The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health will hold a flu vaccination clinic from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, at Palmdale’s Yucca Neighborhood Home, located at 503 East Avenue Q-3.
The vaccinations will be provided at no charge to people who have no health insurance or whose healthcare provider does not offer flu vaccinations.
Flu vaccines are for available for everyone six months and older, especially for individuals who are pregnant or just had a baby, morbidly obese, healthcare workers, living in a nursing or other long-term care home, have a weakened immune system or chronic health problem, or are a caregiver for kids, older adults, or sick people.
Individuals who have severe egg allergies or are sick on the day of the clinic are advised to consult their doctor before getting vaccinated.
For those not able to attend the Yucca House clinic, flu shots will be available at the County’s Antelope Valley Public Health Center, located at 335-B E. Ave. K-6 in Lancaster, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., or 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. No appointment is necessary.
