LANCASTER – Your help is needed to make the holidays brighter for less fortunate children in the Antelope Valley.
A CHiPS for Kids “Stuff-A-Bus” toy drive is happening this Friday, Dec. 11, at the Walmart located at 40130 10th Street West in Palmdale. The event will run from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Reality TV star Lou Pizarro from “Operation Repo” will be signing autographs from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Local California Highway Patrol officers will be donating their time at the site to collect new, unwrapped toys from shoppers and generous community supporters.
They’re calling on all residents to help fill a school bus with toys at Friday’s event. The overall goal is to collect at least 10,000 toys this year so that local disadvantaged children can have presents for Christmas.
