LANCASTER – A holiday dinner at the University of Antelope Valley, a Christmas parade in Palmdale, and a “Magical BLVD Christmas” in Lancaster are all happening this Saturday, Dec. 12. Best of all, these events are free and open to the entire community!
Come one, come all to UAV… and bring your appetite. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the University of Antelope Valley will host its ninth annual “Caring for the Community” event, featuring a free holiday dinner with all the trimmings. It will take place at UAV’s Lancaster campus, located at 44055 Sierra Highway.
Santa Claus will spread cheer throughout the event, with toys for all the boys and girls (child must be present to receive a toy). No reservation is needed for this event, just show up! For more information, click here.
“Frozen” Christmas Parade in Palmdale. At 10 a.m., the Palmdale Chamber of Commerce’s annual Christmas Parade kicks off on 47th Street East and Avenue R. The parade will travel south on 47th Street East and end on Avenue S.
It will feature holiday-themed floats, school marching bands, community queens, Santa Claus, and more. For more information, including a map of the parade route, click here.
A Magical BLVD Christmas. From 5 to 9 p.m. on Lancaster Blvd., between Beech and Genoa Ave., the city of Lancaster will host its annual winter wonderland celebration.
The family-friendly event will feature choirs and carolers, outdoor holiday movies, a puppet show, and lots of other Christmas entertainment.
The sixth annual holiday spectacular will also include numerous photo opportunities with Santa, Mrs. Claus and other Christmas scenes.
