LANCASTER — A 47-year-old woman was killed Saturday morning in a two-vehicle collision in Lancaster, authorities.
Patricia Lopez was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred around 6 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, on Avenue I and 30th Street West, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
Detectives have released few details on the crash, which remains under investigation.
Lopez was driving a Nissan sedan northbound on 30th Street West when her vehicle collided with a Dodge Ram truck that was traveling westbound on Avenue I, according to Lt. Velasquez of the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station.
The truck’s driver, whose name was not released, was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
“It appears that one of the vehicles failed to stop for the red light,” Velasquez said.
The investigation is ongoing and detectives are still working to determine which party was at fault, the lieutenant added.
No further information was immediately available.

Patty was and will always be a beautiful person! People like (blm) Patty would say u need God in your life! She had such a big heart and had nothing but love that she would not say anything negative to your ignorant remarks! But I will say this! we will pray for you to find love in your heart! Cause it seems like u need lots of love! God Bless You!

I was at her memorial service on Sunday February21st. I hardly knew her. We were sister in Christ. I met her about a year ago. The day of her memorial, I was able to gather that Patty was a great woman. Good daughter, family member, wife, mother, friend and most importantly a woman of faith. Her husband, Adolfo was as strong as expected considering the circumstances that evening. He stood firm. In conclusion, I’d like to invite you all to search within yourself to make the changes necessary in your own life, so that when you have to endure this kind pain you too can over come it with the strength that only the Lord can provide. I truly believe that we are all Christians, but most of us just aren’t active ones. Remember, being Christian doesn’t mean you will be free of hardship, pain and obstacles. It just means you will not feel forsaken. With all due respect , R.I.P. Patty Lopez

It’s tacky and rude of you to use this lady’s tragedy as a forum for proselytizing. What about the Jews, Buddhists, Hindus and – yes – Muslims of the world? They’re all faking it because they’re all actually Christians, according to you? You are narrow-minded and rude to assume God only appears in a form you’re comfortable with.

God bless you .

Actually, you can’t get the info off of Pattricia’s Facebook page, because her page is set on private, so if you’re not her FB friend, no go.
Also, the title in the GoFundMe is difficult to get to.
It does not come up at Patti Lopez or Patty or Patricia…or any other thing in Lancaster, CA
It’s titled
For my tia patty
so….it’s not easily found.
If it was Patricia Lopez it be easier. hope this all helps

Patti was a special person.
Loved by all who met her.
Kind, warm and compassionate, a smile for everyone who met her.
For “blm”, Patti was an American citizen working on a United States Air Force Base.
Every employee on this base gets a “Back Ground” Investigation.
She was not the cause of the accident.
God Bless her family and friends.
Ms. Patti Lopez will be truly missed!
People like “blm” are simply evil, possessing a low intelligence IQ. and demonstrating personality traits of a very unstable individual unable to show empathy.
Angie says
I was so sad to hear that we lost such a kind and lovely person. I only knew miss Lopez from Starbucks, but she was always so nice. Claudia says
You were at the scene? You witnessed the accident and saw that she was the “cause”? Because as far as I’m concerned, you cant even express yourself properly. Do yourself a favor please, stop making assumptions, learn how to spell and keep you’re idiotic thoughts to yourself BLM.
Margaret says
Dear Miss Claudia ,,have some respect ,,Don,t post a drama,,
Sgt DJ Ames says
Sounds like a red neck response. I agree with Claudia if you weren’t there don’t make racist remarks. If Patty’s last name was Smith, no one would be saying white chick are always causing accidents.
Margaret says
Dear Sgt DJ Ames ,,,Again it not the time for dramas ,
And Miss Patty wash not a white chick ,
She wash a very beautiful lady,,
Claudia says
Thanks Sgt Dj Ames
You took the words out of my mouth. And this comment does and I believe is racist. Obviously Margaret didn’t read the post property. Claudia (my daughter) is NOT STARTING ANY KIND OF “A drama” like Margaret stated. That is the last thing We want and need. We are already Suffering Tremendously with the Loss of My sister Patty and, Claudias, Aunt. She is right if Mr.blm wasn’t there, he shouldn’t make No ASS-umptions. And keep his negativity to himself.
Mrs. Margaret we don’t know who you are and you don’t know that “We” are Pattys family, I did see the comment you posted calling Her an Angel, and if you are One of the Many that are Grieving with Us, My family and I thank you from the bottom of Our hearts. There are Many that loved Patty dearly and were impacted by her life, and death. All I ask is for prayers and especially for her Husband, Son and Daughters. Blessings to all.
Patty G says
You tell it claudia! Tell it like it is,she should keep her mouth shut! Who is she to make those stupid comments, you know I stand by you 100%!

The one thing I learned while living in Lancaster was to ALWAYS look both ways before entering an intersection. Especially if you’re light just turns green. Take a couple seconds and look for the red light runners. Be safe people!!
