LANCASTER – The JetHawks will celebrate the start of baseball season with Fan Fest this Saturday, March 19.
The free, family-friendly event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Hangar, located at 45116 Valley Central Way in Lancaster.
It will include face painting, balloon artists, batting practice on the field and more as the JetHawks countdown to Opening Day.
“We are less than one month away from Opening Day, and are looking forward to a fun-filled 20th anniversary season here in Lancaster,” said Tom Backemeyer, Executive Vice President of the Lancaster JetHawks. “Fan Fest is our unofficial kickoff for the season, and a fun afternoon at the ballpark for everyone as we gear up for Opening Day on April 14.”
Free events and activities at Fan Fest will include a chance for fans to take batting practice on the field, face painting, balloon animals for kids and hourly tours of the ballpark. The Kaiser Permanente inflatable fun zone, featuring a bouncy house and a giant inflatable slide, will be open to children 12 and under. There also will be ballpark favorites for purchase, an opportunity for fans to select prime seats for season tickets, and MC auditions.

Opening Day is Thursday, April 14, as the JetHawks celebrate their 20th season in Lancaster. Single-game tickets are available online at at jethawks.com, and will be available in person starting at Fan Fest on Saturday.
