LANCASTER – Family entertainment, unique shopping and a great learning experience are what attendees can expect at a Gem and Mineral Show in Lancaster this weekend, according to organizers.
Presented by the Antelope Valley Gem and Mineral Club, the annual show will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 23, and Sunday, April 24, at Lancaster High School, located at 44701 32nd Street West. The event will include free admission and free parking.
A variety of vendors will be offering beads, rocks, gems and minerals. There will be a silent auction and a raffle with dozens of prizes. Children’s activities will include a scavenger hunt and a touch table focusing on earth sciences.
AV Gem and Mineral Club members will lead a field trip to the Kramer Junction area on Sunday. The group will be leaving at 9 a.m.
