PALMDALE – Hip-hop trio Salt-N-Pepa with DJ Spinderella have cancelled their July 9 performance at Palmdale’s Summer Concert Series, city officials announced this week. Ticket holders for Salt-N-Pepa will automatically receive refunds for their purchases by June 14, city officials said.
Motown legends The Commodores have been added to the lineup and will take the Palmdale Amphitheater stage on Saturday, Sept. 10, at 8 p.m. The Commodores have remained a force in the music industry with hits like “Machine Gun,” “Brick House,” “Night Shift,” “Three Times a Lady,” “Just to Be Close to You,” and “Sail On”. The group formed in 1968 while all the members were in college at Tuskegee Institute. After being discovered by Berry Gordy, The Commodores went on to sell more than 60 million records for Motown. Tickets to The Commodores are available at www.palmdaleamphitheater.com and start at $16. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for $30.
