Scholarships available for Summer Theatre Experience

Summer Theatre Experience is designed for youth ages 13 through 17. Camp dates are July 11 to July 29, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  The cost for the program is discounted to $225 for Palmdale residents and $250 for non-residents.

Students will be able to discover the practical aspects of acting and learn how to think creatively when it comes to interpreting stories and portraying characters. This fun, intense three-week experience will immerse students into the production of a full length musical.

This year’s camp will produce “Adventures of a Comic Book Artist” by Pat Lydersen on Friday, July 29, and Saturday, July 30, at 7 p.m.

“No theatre experience is necessary,” said Palmdale Recreation and Cultural Supervisor Annie Pagliaro. “Just bring your creative energy and get ready for an awesome hands-on theatre experience.”
