PALMDALE – A man riding a motorcycle was seriously injured in Palmdale late Wednesday night when his bike collided with a car, whose driver then fled the scene, authorities said.
The collision took place about 11:35 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, at the intersection of 30th Street East and Avenue Q-4, said sheriff’s Lt. Brian Dunn, watch commander at the Palmdale station.
A videographer at the scene reported that the motorcyclist was trying to make a left turn onto Avenue Q-4 when the crash occurred. The motorcyclist was thrown off his bike and the driver of the car then fled the scene, Dunn said.
The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital and was listed Thursday morning in serious but stable condition, according to Dunn.
The hit-and-run driver was described as a male driving a black and white Ford Mustang with a black top, Dunn said.
“We’re still looking for him for the hit-and-run,” Dunn said.
Anyone who knows his identity or whereabouts is urged to call the Palmdale sheriff’s station at (661) 272-2400. Tipsters can call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS. All tips can be made anonymously.

The person who did this will pay for his wrong doings. You don’t just leave someone lying on the street like that. He’s someone’s son, brother and friend. Please if anyone knows anything, contact the sheriff’s department.

They usually do that, but it’s often to grainy unless the car pulls into the station.

Reinstall cctv in each intersection again and we would have a suspect in custody.
