PALMDALE – The city of Palmdale’s new Kaleidoscope: Music and Art Festival coming to the Palmdale Amphitheater this Saturday will present visual and performing arts on the Mosaic Stage, which will include poetry reading, spoken word, songs, dance and even a yo-yo demonstration.
The Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Amphitheater, located at 2723 Rancho Vista Blvd. in Palmdale. Admission and parking are free.
“Kaleidoscope is all about the arts in all of its forms,” said Palmdale Recreation Supervisor Annie Pagliaro. “Whether it is through painting, stained glass, spoken word, stage, music, a yo-yo demonstration or craft brews, artisans have unique ways to express themselves and their thoughts.”
“We created the Mosaic Stage for the Festival to be a forum for the diversity in the expression of the arts,” Pagliaro said. “It will add another dimension to a truly special day.”

Parking
There will be special parking arrangements Saturday for Marie Kerr Park and the Palmdale Amphitheater. All artists, entertainers, vendors, event production personnel, sponsors with Kaleidoscope parking passes and individuals with disabled parking placards will have access to park in the paved lot between the Amphitheater and the Marie Park pool.
All other patrons coming to Marie Kerr for programs, softball, soccer, basketball or the Kaleidoscope festival itself will be directed to park in the gravel parking lot at 25th Street West, just east of the Amphitheater. Parking for all programs and events is free.
“This parking arrangement will help ensure the smoothest event set up and traffic flow, as well as the best possible experience for all who will be on site that day,” said Palmdale’s Recreation Coordinator Annie Pagliaro.
