PALMDALE – Poncitlán Square will host the second annual “American Classic Christmas” this Saturday.
The event will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at the Square, located at 38315 9th Street East, between Avenues Q-9 & Q-10, in Palmdale. This event is free and open to the public.
Festivities will include music by the Tehachapi Mountain Pipes and Drums, the Salvation Army Brass Band and the Salvation Army Children’s Choir; Christmas carol singing, performances by Crooners Young at Heart, Sleet 17, and Pinup Patriettes; the lighting of Poncitlán Square by Mayor Jim Ledford, Lt. Hector Acosta and Robert Prater; the reading of “The Night Before Christmas; and a guest appearance my Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Complimentary refreshments will be available.
“Come enjoy and experience the sights and sounds of Christmas with friends and family in a very beautifully decorated Poncitlán Square,” stated the event’s co-host Michael Ross.
The event is being sponsored by Donan Engineering, The Salvation Army, Coca-Cola, Daisy’s Costumes and Starbucks.
