PALMDALE – Ticket sales for the July 29 concert at the Palmdale Amphitheater featuring country star Trace Adkins got off to a great start—so much so that all the VIP seats were sold in just three days, prompting the city of Palmdale to add more to meet the demand.
“Due to the overwhelming popularity of Trace Adkins, we’ve released an additional 100 VIP tickets,” said Palmdale’s Director of Recreation and Culture Keri Smith. “Get yours now before they’re gone!”
Adkins will take the Amphitheater stage at 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, for an evening of boot stompin’ hit music. Tickets are on sale now at www.palmdaleamphitheater.com. VIP tickets are $45 and general admission is $30.
Adkins’ trademark baritone has powered numerous hits to the top of the charts and sold over 10 million albums cumulatively. His hit list includes “You’re Gonna Miss This,” “Ladies Love Country Boys,” “Songs About Me,” “Every Light In The House,” “Hillbilly Bone (Blake Shelton & Trace Adkins),” and “Just Fishin’,” to name a few. The Grammy-nominated member of the Grand Ole Opry is a TV personality, actor, author, spokesman for the Wounded Warrior Project and the American Red Cross, for whom he raised over $1.5 million dollars as winner of NBC’s All-Star Celebrity Apprentice.
In recent years, Adkins has performed 10 USO Tours.
In his 2007 autobiography, A Personal Stand: Observations and Opinions from a Freethinking Roughneck, the former oil-rigger recounted his rise to fame, brushes with death, and battles with personal demons. Adkins has played a tough as nails biker in The Lincoln Lawyer (starring Matthew McConaughey), and a wise oracle of a tattoo artist in the family-friendly film Moms’ Night Out (starring Patricia Heaton, Sean Astin, Sarah Drew). He also developed and hosted GAC’s “Great American Heroes” honoring every-day heroes.
Adkins’ newest album, “Something’s Going On” will be released March 31, 2017.
“Trace Adkins is no stranger to our area,” said Palmdale’s Communications Manager John Mlynar. “His music video for ‘Swing’ was filmed at the Hanger in the Antelope Valley!” [View the video above]
Other summer concerts and movies coming to the Palmdale Amphitheater will be announced soon.
The Palmdale Amphitheater, once again voted the best place to hear live music in the Antelope Valley, is sponsored by Coca-Cola, Logix Federal Credit Union, Opportunities for Learning, and Valleywide Dental.

When I lived in Bakersfield there was this club. It had a big bar in the middle. One side of the bar opened into a huge room with tables and a dance floor where they played hip hop, and the other side opened into another huge room where they played country. There were very few fights in either of the rooms, so I don’t think either type of music, in itself, prompts more fights.
Lots of them in the bar and the parking lot though. At two AM you could get away with just about any crime just about anywhere in Bakersfield, because every cop in town was in the parking lot at the Rockin’ Rodeo.

More country concerts please. We love our country music. Country also brings less riff raff , just a good old time.

That’s so white of you

Well she’s right if there is a shooting in a country concert, its one shot between the eyes of the steer that’s about to be roasted in a pit for all too enjoy. We do get a little rough, but we always have a sober buddy to make sure we don’t go over board.

Hey, Tom
Remember the real-life American Sniper who got shot on his way to target practice?
Or, do ya have selective memory.
Tom says
Yes and do you remember The Notorious BIG, Tupac, Salina, Marvin Gaye? All murdered by their own. So what’s your point?

I’m pretty sure the night of the country concert there’s going to be a lot of DUIs and DUI accidents you make it sound as if only country concerts are safe to go to you should know better than that there’s nowhere safe and that’s one of the main problems with the Antelope Valley they cater to the country / redneck lifestyle and that’s it

In reality, there are a lot of different types of music that come around here. I’ve seen everything from the Temptations, Beach Boys, War, Chaka Khan, Bob Dylan, Los Lobos, and a bunch of others.
