PALMDALE – America’s Job Center of California (formerly the South Valley WorkSource Center) will host a job recruitment Thursday, Aug. 31, for Farmers Insurance.
Recruitment will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Job Center, located at 38510 Sierra Highway in Palmdale. Applicants are encouraged to dress professionally and bring a resume to the recruitment.
Available positions include customer service agents, marketing associate, office receptionist and office clerk. Salaries range from $11 to $13 an hour, plus commission.
Applicants should:
- Be bilingual (English and Spanish);
- Have customer and sales experience;
- Be computer literate;
- Possess good people skills;
- Have knowledge of general office functions; and
- Be able to work weekends when needed.
Applicants must have or be able to attain within four weeks of hire date a property and casualty license and life and health license. Licenses will be paid for by the company.

Except those darn American born, English speaking individuals that also learned Spanish, or Chinese. (The other languages help but I hear less call in SoCal,, maybe other areas)

Hard not to speak Spanish in California when many of the place nes are in Spanish. Heck feel glad, if the Spanish had not conquered everything we would be speaking Chumash and many other local languages.
