PALMDALE – Six people were hurt, one of them critically, in a two-vehicle crash Saturday evening in Palmdale, according to authorities.
It happened about 6:20 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at the intersection of Sierra Highway and Barrel Springs Road, Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Michael Pittman said.
One person who was critically injured was airlifted to Antelope Valley Hospital, a trauma center, said Pittman and sheriff’s Lt. T. Burgin of the Palmdale sheriff’s station.
Three people were seriously hurt and two people suffered minor injuries, Pittman said. All of the patients were transported to a hospital for treatment of their injuries, he said.
The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff’s department in Palmdale.

Did schools in the AV end reading comprehension courses since I moved? Some of these comments mention fatalities, but the article mentions NOTHING of fatalities. Geezus, learn how to read.
AdolfOliverMuff says
My guess is the driver of the car who HIT the other car did not have his headlights on.

Right around the time the sun set. The intersection there is blind and the drivers on Sierra Highway tend to speed sometimes.

For those that were injured and the family that lost their loved one may you heal mentally, emotionally and physically. My sincere condolences and prayers are with you that God the Almighty may grant you strength, endurance, comfort and peace “so you may abound in hope through the Holy Spirit.” (Ro.15:13)

Did he actually die? I would like to know what happened to the driver as we were at the scene before ambulance arrived and concerned.

Article does not mention – nothing whatsoever – about a fatality. 6 injured. Am I missing something? Did somebody die and AV Times neglected to update the article?

We all need to be carefully on the roads everyone is speeding every where you go not caring for the rest let’s be carefully and obey the speed limits maybe it wouldn’t hurt to try it and be safer

… it’s not so much the speeding. Trouble is, they’re either drunk, or stoned, or both. At any given time, 1 in 4 motorists on America’s highways are either ____-faced drunk, or loaded on meds, if not both. 50% of our motorists can’t be bothered to read the signs, much less understand them. The California policy community now grants drivers’ licensing entitlements to illegal immigrants, who don’t speak sufficient English well enough to understand street signs, who are wholly devoid reverence for social responsibility. They’ll run you down like a dog –

1 in 4, huh? Who provided those stats? You do understand the majority of ALL car accidents involve sober drivers, right?
Tim Scott says
I won’t claim to have sourced the stats, but 1 in 4 sounds believable if you consider that half of all adult Americans take at least one prescription drug on a daily basis, and most of those take more than one. The “if it isn’t illegal it must be okay” crowd of mood altered lab rats is astonishingly large.

Drugged driving is a huge problem.
