Man gets 31 years for sexually abusing two Palmdale sisters

LANCASTER – A man was sentenced Wednesday to 31 years to life in state prison for sexually abusing two Palmdale sisters, ages 9 and 11, one of whom became pregnant.

Jerardo Garcia Sierra, 28, was also ordered to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

Sierra, who had access to the girls through a family member, began the abuse in May 2013.

The abuse of the youngest victim continued through August 2016. As a result of the sexual abuse, that victim became pregnant, but the baby died shortly after birth, according to evidence presented at the preliminary hearing.

Sierra pleaded no contest Feb. 26 to committing a lewd act on a child and sexual intercourse or sodomy with a child 10 or younger, according to Deputy District Attorney Lyle Riggs

The case was investigated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

  3. Before anyone can make a comment they should know that the backboard of speak the truths comment is not true. The ages the dates and the full comment have multiple lies. I know the children and the family. Speak the truth is Jerardos sister in law who was no where around during the investigation instead ran off to Tennessee as did his mother in law who ran off to Las Vegas. The parents did not know what was going on. With the older girl she recanted her her original claim because one of Jerardos family members along with speak the truth told her that if he had been convicted they were going to have her put in juvenile Hall and her mother arrested and her siblings put in foster care. Out of fear she told her mother it was a lie and wanted to go and visit with her father. It was investigated and the mother did report it. Why else was she wanted for testimony by the court? The older daughter told her mother what was said when she was let aware of what had happened to the younger sister. As for the younger child the family did not know it was Jerardo until he had already left to Vegas with his parents. The parents fully cooperated with law enforcement and were fully investigated as well. The young girl did not appear pregnant even deputies that came out for a welfare check did not think it either. And this was about 4 days before she had the baby The family to Jerardo does not want to face the truth and want to blame it on everyone else except him. At the end of the day it was him that did the dirty deed. I think if anyone is interested in what the truth is should go down to the courthouse and look it up. It’s public record and that way they can see it didn’t go down the way speak the truth says it did.

  5. As a child victim myself I can say some ” mothers ” would rather look the other way because it is easier to not process reality. People don’t realize that being a parent is more than just proving a roof and putting food on the table. I am now a 34 year old woman and this stuff does mess you up in the head. Always believe your children and PROTECT THEM!!!! DON’T HAVE KIDS IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO PROTECT THEM!!! It takes no more than a few minutes to damage a childs life.

      • Why would you even go there? All that matters is that this person won’t harm another child, ever! Praying that these victims will become survivors, and be strengthened and nourished with love. Hoping he will not be released early, as so many are, that resume their previous behavior of preying on children.

  9. This is absolutely NOT TRUE!!
    The 9 year old was raped by another man who’m she described and how it happened, their irresponsible mom and step dad would leave her home alone with her 6yr old& 2yr old brother as well as her new born sister at night while they “worked”. The man that she originally said had done this forces him self into the home, he was an acquaintance to the family & acording to her kids the man had been driving past the house nights before. No one knew what had happened to her till weeks after the police got an anonymous call saying that she was a few weeks pregnant and they showed up at her house to investigate. A few weeks later it was confirmed that she had had miscarage. She said what had happened and how, but the mom being afraid of what trouble she could get into for leaving her kids under the care of her 9 year old, was afraid so had to come up with a different story. & as for the 11 year old, it suposably happened a few years back but there was no proof and instead of investigating the mother sends her away to live with her dad. So my question is. If jerardo did this to your firsr daughter why would let him live in your house again? The mother only brought her oldest daughter back a few months ago to testify against him to make it look more convinceble. He took the plea deal the lawyer offered him because he had no one on his side and the mother of these two girls knew that. The only two people who know the real story and the ways of the people are 7 states away.This women would throw anyone under the bus for her sake. I truly feel bad for what happened to her, but please accuse the correct person.& the dates are wrong jerardo did not live in the same house hold as them during that time, he lived with his baby momma. & if he would come around it would be to crash on the couch which by the way was his parents house.

      • Some sick humans in the world…. the second I found out my daughter was being raped and molested nothing would stop me from hanging him, prosecuting him, and or killing him…. sad that the poor thing was told to be quite so he would still pay the bills…. my god there are resources to help people. Prayers for the girls…..

    • This is why monsters like Jerardo Sierra can get away with doing this kind of crap- because their family and friends make excuses for them instead of facing the truth about how sick and evil they are. DNA doesn’t lie, but perverts and criminals do to save their butts. Didn’t work this time, did it?

    • No one checked the baby’s dna when she miscarried? Yeah, sure. Someone is telling you a story. Maybe you should check into it if you have a personal interest in this.

    • “Speak the truth” – you need to get your facts straight before commenting on this monster’s heinous crimes.
      (1) You state that the 9 year old was raped by an “acquaintance” of the family. While this may have been the initial story given by the young girl, in actuality, she had been groomed by Jerardo for two years prior to her becoming pregnant by him. In case you have been misinformed, that is precisely how child sexual predators work. They prime their young victims to see them as the “good guy” all the while plotting how to fulfill their sick, twisted desires. Text messages between Jerardo and the young girl and DNA were the icing on the cake after she finally was able to tell investigators and her mom what really happened.
      (2) Why did you and your mother-in-law (Jerardo’s mom) flee the state once police started investigating this case? Could it be that you, yourself, was complicit in the “miscarriage” of the baby, while your mother-in-law knew what had been going on the entire time, even gossiping about the pregnancy to neighbors, (who in turn, thank goodness, reported it to authorities), yet never mentioned it to the girl’s mother??
      (3) There was an investigation into the older girl’s molestation claim, however, charges were never filed due to lack of evidence. Due to this fact, and because of intense and severe pressure from Jerardo’s family, the girl’s mother felt she had no other option but to have her older daughter stay with family out of state. “Perhaps everyone is right, Jerardo is a good guy, and my daughter is probably making things up-even the cops won’t charge him”. Do you actually think for one second, that she doesn’t thoroughly regret either sending her daughter away or the fateful decision to allow Jerardo back into her home? She absolutely does! Yes, she did come back, and her testimony only corroborates his actions!
      (4) Yes, Jerardo did live with them. Speak the truth-your dates are confused! He lived with them just after the incident mentioned above, when he immediately began the grooming process on the next daughter, until he went on the run once the police investigation started. He was on the run for nearly a year before being apprehended. If you’re not guilty of anything-why run? And the “baby momma” you say he stayed with and didn’t (at least not for any considerable time), has a daughter the victim’s age. You should be thankful he is locked up so that he cannot prey on his own daughter.
      (5) He took the plea deal with no contest because of the enormous amount of evidence against him and because he didn’t want all of the horrible things he actually did to be brought to light in a court of law, in front of family and well-wishers.

      Don’t kid yourself. You say you speak the truth, but you must realize how truly far you are from it. If I were you, I would take a good, hard, objective look at the situation and rethink my priorities. Do you want to stand up for a no-good, disgusting pedophile or wholeheartedly support a young girl who has been victimized in ways too numerous to count, forever marred by the man the courts saw fit to keep away from others like her for hopefully at least another 31 years……….
