PALMDALE – A family in Palmdale was tied up and terrorized Monday by three men who finally left after stealing a gun and some cash, a sheriff’s lieutenant said.
The robbery took place about 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 16, at a home in the 38700 block of Erika Lane, sheriff’s Lt. Jacqueline Sanchez.
Sanchez said she didn’t know the number of family members who were home or if any of the family members were injured during the robbery. She also said she didn’t know how much money was stolen.
A videographer at the scene said the victims were owners of a liquor store and that the robbers got away with around $100,000.
The videographer also said the suspects were seen driving away in a Chevrolet Equinox.
This was the second home invasion in this neighborhood in 15 days. The first one occurred July 2. In that case the victims were owners of a Thai restaurant.
Sanchez said detectives are investigating any links between the two home invasion robberies.

The Hernandez gang has been doing that for years. They sell drugs, they wiretap business owners, they follow people around, they have criminal associates, they kidnap kids across the border for ransom, they own businesses across the border to transfer their illicit earnings. I heard all this from a family member of theirs.

They are rich business owners, they pay more on credit, it’s a wise decision to pay in cash.

I just heard that there has been a rash of robberies, also, business owners in Lancaster, as well! I heard this from a very concerned business owner.

Who keeps 100K in cash just lying around?

The one person that “just happened” to be targeted by a home invasion robbery. But that won’t stop every nitwit in town from saying “I need a gun to defend my home because home invasions are happening RANDOMLY ALL OVER THE PLACE.”
Jackson says
Business owners need that cash to open their registers daily, to pay no credit on large purchases, and as emergency if their bank is closed and their credit card gets damaged.

Was it the same robbers and maybe there is a pattern, these victims are business owners so maybe these home invasions are being targeted by the same persons who are stalking or at least know enough info on these victims to find out where they reside … so maybe some everyday customers or people that may deliver to these businesses….. just a thought or two

I agree Tim. I know i have disagreed with you in the past but your an intelligent person i do actually respect your post. These people must be being targeted or they have set up a fake robbery for insurance reasons. There is always that thought … Both vic t ims were neighbors. A little beating could have made it worth a little insurance crime…. Were the businesses struggling or thriving? What was the policy amount? Well my father spent half his career as an insurance fraud detective and since he took me to work a few times and taught me analytical suspicion… I am curious to see results. Its hard to believe someone just follows them home kno w ing they have a gun and just so happens a 100 th housand in cash sitting around… I smell fraud….

I need to adjust my cell key pad forgive the typos.

It’s the typical method of operations of drug dealers and drug cartels. They follow business owners home.
