Most of those people were probably driving on bad documentation because they could not afford to pay for updated documentation. Way to target the poor. Good job. That’s what I call fighting crime. Now they have impounded cars. I hope no one loses there job.

Driving is a priviledge. Follow the rules or park it!
As for the poor. Is $1.25 too much to ride the bus? And a little walking never did anybody harm. Those with mobility issues there are programs available.
As for the recurring complaints about these being illegal checkpoints, don’t you think that point has already been challenged in court?
I drove up on this very check point with takeout food and groceries in the car. When I saw the signs I was able to alter my direction of travel and not have to sit in traffic worrying about my food and groceries.
Before you respond… refer to my first point.
Driving is a priviledge!

Hey simpleton, first off, surely you meant to say “privilege”, which tells me you are clueless. Some of these people may live very far from bus routes or work late or double shifts. You seriously think they have the time to wait for the next bus? Get out of here, you probably never struggled. I did struggle and I was able to save and buy my first used car because it was a matter of safety, I was a female working until 12:30p.m., buses were not available and I had to walk from downtown to my apartment. I was lucky to always get there in one piece, but my neighbor was not as fortunate and she was dragged under a bridge and raped on her way home from work. You don’t know people’s situation, do us all a favor and stay in your little pathetic bubble and just STFU, self righteous idiot. Although driving is a privilege, it is a necessity to many, or else they can’t keep a roof over their head or food on their table. You are despicable, thoughtless and heartless. Let me guess…you wear a red hat (AKA tinfoil hat).

Of course none of the arrest were for DUI. Very rarely do they result in DUI arrest, all these unlawful stops are is another way to generate money and violate our rights. justified by supposedly keeping us safe what a joke!!! These clowns just want to stop us to try and find a reason to steal our money. What a waste of tax dollars, that’s not we pay your salaries for….
