Man shot to death in Lancaster, likely gang-related

LANCASTER – A man was shot to death in Lancaster Sunday night, authorities said.

It happened around 7:40 p.m. Sunday, June 23, at Avenue J-12 and Challenger Way, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

“Lancaster Station deputies responded to an assault with a deadly weapon, gunshot victim call. When they arrived they found a male Black adult suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the upper torso. The 25 year-old victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead,” the news release states.

“There is no suspect(s) description at this time. Investigators believe this incident may be gang related,” the news release states.

The victim’s name has not yet been released pending next of kin notification.

Sheriff’s investigators have released no further information to the media, however, sources said it was a car-to-car shooting that started down the street and ended on the corner of Challenger Way and Avenue K. We should take a moment out of our day to pray for all of the unborn children, that they dont come into this world anymore through scumbag families and deteriorate this beloved town more than whats already been done. I see certain idiotic looking youth with tatoos on their faces and all I’m really looking at are a bunch of turds with pencil drawings on them. hopefully theyre killing each other instead of innocent bystanders that despise their politics. I can definately see why the good productive tax payers in this town should conceal carry… responsibly not moronically like these God-created mistakes.

  6. Lived a few blocks from there for over 20 yrs. Moved out of state because the city was getting 2 big for comfort. No matter your financial situation, ethnicity or even where you live, crime is everywhere.

    Another black family in denial, “he was not a gang member” “its not gang related” “he changed his life” etc. etc.
    denial is not just a river in Egypt—it is a force in all of our lives.
    Victim was a gang member.
    Family is gang affiliate.
    Family say “he a son, brother, father, uncle” etc. I guess the victim should have more regard for what he has to lose.

      • No Rosie..we are not ignorant or racist. Some of us are FED UP!! The fact that the “black” community ALWAYS plays the racial card. Not all blacks feel this way, mind you. But,it’s the one’s who sponge off the hard working blue collar people by collecting welfare and not doing anything else to get off of it, seem to be able to afford drugs, alcohol, drive a better car than I do. You see them running a muck in stores and malls yelling and screaming, stealing, WITH THEIR KIDS who act the same way. If you don’t want to be stereo typed, than why don’t you become a good citizen, get a job, go to school, stay off your damn cellphones and electronics and pay attention to your children and take care of your pets.
