Scared to do anything says
Palmdale is now a satellite to the Lancaster insiders. Our City Council and Mayor cannot do anything in their own city without the OK of Marvin and Raymond who got them all elected. Power politics at its finest.
AR says
Palmdale has so many parks! I’m so jealous. I live in West Lancaster and the closest city park is over 4 miles away. :(
Tim Scott says
All those west Lancaster developments involved huge developer fees, but the money that is normally used to build parks and such all got diverted into two things…direct cash payouts to insiders for minimal “services” and landscaping very small selected areas to improve property values in developments financed by insiders.
That second part is why you can be driving down a main thoroughfare and experience the absolute worst that southern California has to offer; blacktop and sidewalks in a block wall canyon. Then you pass an invisible line and the same street has walkways bending through lush greenspace along both sides that is almost a park in itself, and half a mile later you’re back in the block wall canyon. Guess what, you just passed a Visco/Parris development project. Developer fees for miles around went into that half mile.
Kathy says
The Debbie Downer cult has invaded this positive article about the community giving input regarding their neighborhood parks.

Fewer homeless people and less crime…
Tim Scott says
Have you been to a park?
Rex Has a Plan says
I think that person may be reflecting his or her experiences at Boeing Park near the BLVD.
Park Visitor says
I’ve been to Central Park in NYC.
Parks says
I’ve been to Central Park too. I’ve also been to the Plane on a Stick park near the BLVD. Central Park is infinitely nicer. Even it’s worst parts are better than the s-Hole we call the BLVD.
Tim Scott says
Note that the dung heap BLVD has nothing to do with Palmdale, though with Wrecks having his bought and paid for mayor and council members that could change.
Beth says
Please, please, all you constant whiners, that have nothing better to do than constantly complain about life in the A.V., LEAVE! Every article is an opportunity for you negative Nancy’s to spout your misery. Attending these meetings in Palmdale, like these productive people, is something beyond your comprehension. You would rather sit at home and whine. You’re the kind of people no one wants to be around.
Bill says
The movement is on to make Palmdale more like Lancaster. Wrecks and the good old boys win, Palmdale residents lose.
Beth says
Poor, poor, pitiful Bill.
