PALMDALE – The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department will conduct a DUI/driver’s license checkpoint at an undisclosed location in Palmdale this Friday, July 17, between the hours of 6 p.m. and 2 a.m., authorities announced.
“The primary purpose of checkpoints is not to make arrests but to promote public safety by deterring drivers from driving impaired,” according to a news release from the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station.
During the checkpoint, deputies will be looking for signs of alcohol and/or drug impairment, with deputies checking drivers for proper licensing.
“The safety of our community is and always will be our mission,” Sgt. Robert Hill said in the news release. “We are still out there in the middle of a pandemic because driving under the influence is still dangerous and puts a further strain on critical resources.”
Motorists caught driving impaired can be charged with DUI and face an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties, as well as a suspended license.
Funding for this operation is provided to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

I wish everybody would stop with all the political nonsense. It just sounds so ridiculous already. It makes no sense when we hear people sound so negative and judgmental toward their fellow Americans. It doesn’t matter who you are, or what you represent. Everyone has something they stand to defend, but to criticize and judge or to find some sort of reason to include a political defense, like it’s some gang or something. We are all Americans. We all breath the same air, and we’ll all leave this world, with nothing, but our soul. Nobody is better than anybody else! We have only our hearts to keep our blood pumping, and our conscience to lead us toward righteousness. To have hate, envy, or negativity surrounding your opinionated remarks, only makes the words, you speak sound meaningless, and spiteful. While discrediting others, you should really focus your energy on your own characteristics, and standards. We are not here to judge others, but to guide them toward salvation. Less you find the goodness in all humanity, the less goodness in life you will find.

… once upon a time, I myself was a proud, staunch libertarian with respect to roadside checkpoints. I screamed bloody murder how these sobriety checkpoints were a gross, wanton violation of our civil rights. None too proud now, I watched television one night, saw first hand Mayor Eric Garcetti kneeling before ANTIFA terrorists, Governor Gavin Newsom sitting on his hands, allowing BLM terrorists a free hand, looting and burning small business owners into bankruptcy. Painfully evident, my fellow Americans are no longer merit worthy of our Founding Fathers’ civil rights. We now need armed checkpoints, on every street corner –

BTW: There’s no such thing of any Antifa terrorist or even a organization in connection to the name Antifa. It’s a made up label, that has no actual authenticity. This Antifa word isn’t even a word, but the only time I actually hear it, is by our President, which, he produced one day, and people sort generated it across social media. But the entire misleading concept of this public outrage we are seeing, isn’t just a one sided issue. We can’t lose sight of what’s actually going on in our country. BLM is something that we might not understand stand how they feel, or know what they go through each day. And the violence and looting that happened two months ago, and BLM, are being confused as all of the same. We have protestors, and then we have people out there committing crime, violence and acting uncivilized. Which by the way, all that was almost two months ago, that these people were causing unnecessary chaos. But that was BLM protests or anything we consider protesting to be. That was people out there taking advantage of the issue at hand, and trying to get free stuff, or causing destruction for no reason, other than, they were fallowing along with others out there doing it. But that’s not protestors. That’s not the on going civil rights, or cvil justice reform marches that are on going across our nation. And while nobody at these protests are causing destruction or harm to anyone or anything, they are being silenced by our federal government. We as Americans have a right to be heard, to protest our government and to call for action. But the minute we see our own president try so hard to shut them up, because he’s tired of hearing them cry for justice and reform, we can’t ignore the threat he’s putting on our democracy. It’s constitutional and it’s their 1st amendment rights to be heard. They are not in the wrong, our federal government is. They are not out there as a representation of any one party or political show, like our president keeps trying to convince people to believe. He’s the only person making this some sort of political stunt, in ordering Marshal Law, and trying to inflict injury and pain upon the very people who he is there to serve. We as Americans pay our tax dollars, and their salaries. Rather trump donates his or not, that still hasn’t been proven, on record. But we pay our government and they work for us. Not the other way around. And instead of our President listen to their concerns, and show some sort of action, to put a stop to police brutality. We can not sit back and do nothing, while our fellow Americans are being murdered all the time, for no probable cause, or defense. It’s gone on for decades and it’s about time, the federal government take action. Instead, trump rather cause chaos, and inflict more brutality on the American people who just want action. This is unbelievable. And if we allow this to continue, we might as well kiss our rights and our democracy good bye.
