PALMDALE – A 29-year-old man died in a solo-vehicle crash early Saturday morning in the Pearblossom area, authorities said.
The coroner’s office identified the motorist as Patrick Hernandez-Ruiz of Adelanto.
The fatal collision happened around 3:10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, on state Route 138 near 116th Street East, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Hernandez-Ruiz was driving a 2008 Infinity G35 westbound on SR-138 when the vehicle veered in a northerly direction off the roadway and overturned, the CHP said.
Hernandez-Ruiz, who was not wearing his seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
It was not clear whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash, the CHP said. This was the 32nd person killed so far this year in the CHP’s Antelope Valley jurisdiction.
The CHP’s Antelope Valley office is encouraging anyone with information regarding the crash to call them at 661-948-8541.
