AGUA DULCE – A commercial truck went over the side of the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway in Agua Dulce Monday afternoon and plunged about 100 feet, and the driver was airlifted from the scene, authorities said.
It happened around 1:55 p.m. Monday, April 19, on the northbound side of the 14 Freeway south of Escondido Canyon Road, according Inspector Sean Ferguson of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Fire Department units responded to the scene and a paramedic-staffed helicopter was dispatched to airlift the driver to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. No further information was immediately available Monday afternoon.
Two northbound lanes were closed due to the crash, according to the California Highway Patrol.
