Two Los Angeles County brothers have agreed to plead guilty to crimes stemming from the Jan. 6 assault on the Capitol by Donald Trump supporters, court records obtained show.
Kevin Cordon, 33, and Sean Cordon, 35, both signed plea agreements earlier this month, according to records filed Friday in federal court for the District of Columbia.
The brothers were charged with violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds and other crimes stemming from the assault. Both are expected to formally plead guilty in November.
The day after the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, an anonymous tipster from Finland alerted the FBI to a video on a Finnish newspaper’s website that apparently showed the brothers at the scene of the riot.
The mob broke into the building in an attempt to stop Congress from certifying Joe Biden’s victory in the presidential election.
The cases are being prosecuted in the District of Columbia.
In the seven months since Jan. 6, more than 570 individuals have been arrested in nearly all 50 states for crimes related to the breach of the U.S. Capitol, including over 170 people charged with assaulting or impeding law enforcement. The investigation remains ongoing.

Speaking of the insurrectionists, today may have been the first time ever that a congressperson told companies “do not comply with congressional investigations.” Kevin McCarthy used the classic “breaking federal law” threat, but when pressed for “what statute applies?” of course he had no answer. Anyone have any doubts as to what that’s all about?
Beecee says
Nah I was one of the 74 million who wasn’t stupid enough to fall for that FED honeypot, wasn’t one of the 600 stupid ones.
By the way, let me know when someone gets charged for treason or insurrection, or better yet, a plot to overthrow the government.
Tim Scott says
LOLOL…”The feds made me do it!!! I wasn’t even thinking about overthrowing the government until the feds talked me into it!!!” That’s a laughable defense I would certainly love to see some insurrectionists try.
Anyway, what term do you prefer over “insurrectionist” BeeCee? Since you obviously support them, what would you prefer they be called?
The intent was clear. Congress has a time limit for recording the outcome of the electoral college votes. Delaying that certification past the deadline was the objective, and a violent invasion of the congressional chambers, combined with a “fifth column” of congress members drawing out the process, was the means. That was, in fact, a plot to overthrow the government. The low life foot soldiers like your brothers here aren’t getting charged with that because their function in the plot was just hired thuggery by thugs so stupid that they did their part for free, but that doesn’t change the intentions of the people who did the plotting.
BeeCee says
Ok,
So with this logic, there should be some type of insurrection/treason or some type of charge relative to overthrowing the government.
Let us know when this happens, until then, shut your trap.
You need fire arms for a modern insurrection attempt, while your at it, let us know when there are some firearm charges as well.
Tim Scott says
What makes you think you need firearms, other than your desire to believe in the “good intentions” of Donny Dingbat?
Put another way, if your friendly mob of compatriots that you don’t want called insurrectionists hadn’t met someone with the guts to to shoot one of them as they tried to breach the congressional chamber armed “only” with clubs and aerosol weapons and they had succeeded in taking members of congress hostage do you see any way that congress would have reconvened and certified the election results before their time ran out? If you have anything here but an unequivocal no then you are lying.
So how does that play out then? Results of the election not certified; constitution then calls on the house to determine a result. With a hostage taking mob in the house chamber? Not likely. So we have Donny Dingbat making the same announcement made by every dictator everywhere upon seizing power: “I will be organizing free elections as soon as the crisis is resolved.” Heard that one before?
As to being told “shut your trap” by some anonymous insurrectionist hiding behind a screen…not bloody likely. I swore an oath to protect the constitution so to shut me up you and Donny Dingbat and his side boys Mike and Kevin are gonna have to do a whole lot better than that.

And what’s wrong with blue lives matter?
Tim Scott says
It’s based on a false premise and is an emotional appeal intended to further a demonstrably corrupt system.
You asked.

“You asked”. LOL. A strategic mistake Crossroads will not make again.

right, i was recently driving on the 14 freeway between ave I and J exit’s, and i saw this truck with a huge blue lives matter flag and a huge trump 2024 flag. My cousin who is from the bay area, became visibly upset and i told him from Santa Clarita to Rosemond, this is a common scene.
MAGA says
This is America tell your cousin blue lives matter and make America great again.
Trumpist#1 says
Theodore Roosevelt said that while he was making a comeback, and running AGAINST the sitting president. So context doesn’t apply. Good try.
MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, AGAIN
Trumpist#1 says
LOL. I knew you’d get that one. I’m a real sweetheart, huh?
Jose: GFY you despicable snowflake.
