The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County recorded its largest daily increase since Feb. 19 Wednesday, rising 2.8 cents to $4.702, its highest amount since Dec. 2.
The average price is 3.7 cents more than one week ago, 1.9 cents higher than one month ago and $1.226 greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The Orange County average price recorded its largest daily increase since Nov. 11, rising 3.2 cents to $4.687, three-tenths of a cent less than the record set on Oct. 8, 2012. It is 4.2 cents more than one week ago, 3.8 cents higher than one month ago and $1.228 greater than one year ago.
