PALMDALE – The city of Palmdale is ringing in the holiday season with festive light displays in Palmdale parks and a Jolly Holiday event planned for Poncitlán Square.
Beginning Dec. 1, Rancho Vista Park will glitter in classic white lights, while Poncitlán Square will have a new look this year, complete with trees wrapped in holiday colors. Residents can enjoy the free light displays nightly until 10 p.m.
Joe Davies Heritage Airpark also will feature lights, character displays, and aircraft shining in holiday colors nightly, from 5 to 9 p.m.
Jolly Holiday on The Square
On Saturday, Dec. 17, from 4 to 7 p.m., local residents are invited to celebrate the season at Poncitlán Square. The free event will feature a live band, roaming carolers, visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and opportunities to take family photos under a beautiful light display. Children also can bring their letters to Santa and enjoy free classic carnival booths, with games, giveaways, and treats for kids 12 and under, while supplies last.
Participating families can share the holiday spirit by bringing an unwrapped toy or gift card to donate to Palmdale families in need. Donations will be collected at the event to benefit families receiving food assistance through SAVES.

PRETTY POLLYANNA LOVES CHRISTMAS SO MUCH..! says
I SIMPLY HATE IT WHEN TEENAGED GANG MEMBERS SHOW UP AT THE PARK…
WITH THEIR REALLY LOUD BOOM-BOOM-BOOP HIP HOP MUSIC…
PLAYING SO LOUDLY FROM THEIR STUPID LOW RIDER CARS…
THAT IT DROWNS OUT THE NICER AND MUCH PRETTIER CHRISTMAS TUNES…
DON’T YOU TOO..?

I noticed signs at the park saying closed 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Evidently closing the parks is an attempt to stop nice Jewish boys from playing their loud hip hop music from their low riders between the hours of 10 and 6.
