The Palmdale City Library, located at 700 E. Palmdale Blvd, has announced it upcoming holiday events.
Attendees can enjoy live music, light refreshments, crafts, and a visit from Santa Claus, at the Library’s annual holiday party, from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17. There will be craft making activities and classical music from 2 to 3 p.m., followed by a visit from Santa Claus at 3 p.m. The Library will close at 4 p.m. on Dec. 17 to make way for the Jolly Holiday celebration taking place in Poncitlán Square. The Library is also hosting a Holiday Movie Festival from Dec. 22 to 30. Showings start at 2 p.m. and will include Muppet Christmas Carol on Dec. 22; Dr. Suess’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas on Dec. 23; Home Alone on Dec. 27; Elf on Dec. 28; Last Christmas on Dec. 29; and The Santa Clause on Dec. 30. All ages are welcome and popcorn will be provided, while supplies last. This event is sponsored by the Friends of Palmdale City Library.
Featured Wednesday 5:30 p.m. movies in December include: Cryano on Dec. 7; The Nightmare Before Christmas on Dec. 14, and Edward Scissorhands on Dec. 21.
Library goers are encouraged to celebrate the season by donating a toy at the library. Donations are being accepted for children served through Inner Circle Foster Care. Participants can bring unwrapped toys to the library through Dec. 10.
