SANTA CLARITA – Two brothers from Lancaster were arrested in connection with a Halloween weekend shooting that occurred outside a bar in Santa Clarita, authorities announced Thursday.
Isaac and Isaiah Clark, both 23, were arrested Monday, Dec. 12, when detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Cobra Unit (Gang and Juvenile Crime Team) executed a search warrant at a residence in Lancaster, according to a news release from the LASD’s Santa Clarita Valley Station.
The raid was conducted in connection with a shooting that happened around 1 a.m. Oct. 31 outside the Black ‘N Blue lounge, located on the 23400 block of Town Center Drive, officials said.
“Deputies arrived on scene and found a male suffering from multiple gun shot wounds. During investigation, deputies learned an altercation had taken place inside the location between two males, prior to the shooting. The argument continued outside the location in which a male adult then brandished a firearm and fired several rounds at the victim, striking him in the upper torso… The victim sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for further medical treatment,” the sheriff’s news release states.
Detectives with the COBRA team were able to identify the suspect “through a lengthy investigation,” officials said in the news release. COBRA detectives, along with the sheriff’s Crime Impact Team, and the county’s Probation Department served a search warrant “during which, the suspect, 23-year-old Isaac Clark from Lancaster, was arrested for attempt murder. A search of the residence resulted in the recovery of a firearm loaded with a high capacity magazine, identified [as] belonging to the suspect’s brother, 23-year-old Isaiah Clark of Lancaster,” the news release states.
“Isaiah Clark, who is on active probation, was arrested for possession of a loaded firearm by a convicted felon. Both males were booked into the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station and remain in custody at this time,” the news release states.
