Palmdale – A Small Business Assistance Grant Program (SBAG) is providing grants up to $7,000 to local small businesses adversely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, Palmdale city officials announced. The funds will be granted to provide support for payroll, rent, personal protective equipment, and other costs required to resume or expand business.
Applications will be available starting Monday, Jan. 9, and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through April 20, or until all funds are granted. Applications and requirements can be found at www.cityofpalmdale.org/sba. Completed applications can be mailed or hand delivered to Palmdale’s Economic Development Division at 38250 Sierra Highway during regular hours of operation — Monday to Thursday, from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Applications will be time stamped and reviewed by Palmdale city staff at the time of receipt.
SBAG funding will be provided only in cases where it can be reasonably determined and documented that the business has been adversely impacted by COVID-19. Grant payments will be made as reimbursements for actual costs. Businesses will be required to apply and provide appropriate documentation to confirm eligibility and to determine grant payment amounts.
