PALMDALE – South Antelope Valley Emergency Services (SAVES) is looking for volunteers in all positions to help the city of Palmdale sustain the lives of thousands of people by assisting them with nutritious food, education, and referrals.
To become a SAVES volunteer, applicants must:
— Attend a 30-minute orientation
— Submit a volunteer application
— Work three shifts (12 hours total) at SAVES in the desired position
— Pass a fingerprint screening
Local residents are encouraged to attend an orientation to learn about the available SAVES positions and the job duties, responsibilities, and schedules for each volunteer opportunity.
Orientations are available on Tuesdays, Feb. 21 and 28, at 5 p.m., and on Thursdays, Feb. 23 and March 2, at 9 a.m.
