PALMDALE – A post-prom fight early Sunday morning in Palmdale between two young men from Pete Knight High School resulted in a shooting by one of their mothers.
It happened around 1 a.m. Sunday, April 30, outside the high school at 37423 70th Street East, according to a source at the scene.
No one was hit in the gunfire, and no one from the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station was immediately available for comment on the incident.
The parent who allegedly fired her gun tried to intervene but was punched several times for her efforts, the source at the scene said.
There was no immediate word regarding whether the woman was arrested, but two vehicles were reportedly hit by the gunfire.
Editor’s note: We’ll up date this story when/if more information becomes available.

What a stupid comment. This was a dispute between two males after prom, likely over a girl. This happens everywhere, the only difference mom was armed, Timbo.
Tim Scott says
Yeah, happens everywhere and has for as long as there have been proms.
Isn’t it great how by the simple development of having every Tom, Dick, and housewife strapped up we can turn such perfectly ordinary events into life changing armed confrontations?
By the way, speaking of housewives…”Timbo”? Is that your mom’s pet name for me? I’m trying to place her, but I can’t say I remember her…

Prom night ends with gunfire… stupid people, stupid culture, wog.

BUSINESS AS USUAL
30 plus years ago, Palmdale was once a small low crime, Aerospace community…. It has become SOUTH CENTRAL NORTH.
What do you expect from a bunch of little snot-nosed punks that have zero respect for law, rules, or sense of order. These pieces of human excrement are the same crowd that take over streets and intersections in the name of Fun & Games. Loosers every stinking one, just a bunch of losers that will never amount to anything in life.
Tim Scott says
30 plus years ago Palmdale had ten thousand residents. Hey, ten thousand residents commit a lot fewer crimes than 150,000 do, what a stunning revelation. Lemme guess, you opted for a badge because you weren’t blessed with a brain. It’s examples like this that lead to people not respecting cops.
Frank Rizzo says
Lol 10 thousand eighty years ago. Tim is a criminal who hates cops and robs banks.
America's Most Pointless Pundit says
Correction: He WAS a criminal and he DID rob banks. He paid his debt and now I would trust him more than most people. Just to set it straight.
Read his book and get back to me.
Tim Scott says
When I was a kid the population of Palmdale was about 10,000, and I’m not anywhere close to 80.
Get facts Frank and quit proving what a loser you are.
Cynic says
Come on now, Timmy. Are you familiar with the concept of adjusting for crime on a per capita basis?
Tim Scott says
Yeah I am…it’s this retired cop that apparently is not. Crime rates in Palmdale have actually not gone up at all. Thanks for supporting my point, even though that was obviously not your intent.
Ken Wood says
More people, more crime. It’s the way it works.
Same applies to traffic
VNY16R says
Speaking of human excrement, aren’t you a Jan6 sympathizer LAPD RETIRED? Do you think that it was a tour?
Dean says
Yes it was pretty much a tour.
Tim Scott says
The scary thing here is that there are people who believe this so even though it is hard to imagine that you are serious you may be one of those.
Bee says
Well, in all honest it was a few idiots with delusions of grandeur, the rest were simply meandering around peacefully.
But in the end they were all incited and invited by one entity…
Feds!
Your not fooling anybody bootlicker
