LANCASTER – A man was arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated after he allegedly smashed into two other vehicles in a three-truck crash in that killed one man and critically injured a woman Tuesday night in Lancaster, authorities said.
Deputies from the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station were called around 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, to the intersection of Avenue L at 20th Street West. They learned that a red Chevy Silverado, a gray Subaru Forester, and a Ram 3500 pickup were stopped at the intersection when the suspect, who was driving the Ram pickup, crashed into the back of the Subaru Forester, which pushed the Forester into the Chevy Silverado.
The Subaru was crushed between the two trucks, fatally injuring a man who was a passenger in the Forester, said Sgt. Michael Politano of the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station.
A woman who was driving the Subaru was taken to a hospital in critical condition. The driver and passengers of the other vehicles involved sustained minor injuries, Politano said. A reminder to get out of Antelope Valley because you could die sitting at a traffic light. All the knuckle dragging apes driving tonka trucks and challengers collectively bring down the intelligence level of the AV.
