PALMDALE – A man believed to be in his 50s was found shot to death early Monday morning in Palmdale, authorities said.
The incident was reported around 4:44 a.m. Monday, July 3, near the intersection of 75th Street East and Avenue Q, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
“Investigators have learned that Palmdale Station deputies responded to an ‘assault with a deadly weapon’ call… Upon arriving on scene, deputies discovered the victim, approximately 50-55 years old, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound,” the sheriff’s news release states.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, sheriff’s officials said. His name has not yet been released pending next of kin notification, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Officer.
No further information was immediately released. Homicide investigators are canvassing the area for evidence and witnesses.
