SANTA CLARITA – A pedestrian struck and killed on the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway in Santa Clarita has been publicly identified.
He was 57-year-old Walter Rodriguez, according to Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
The crash was reported around 8:07 p.m. Saturday, July 15, on the northbound Antelope Valley Freeway at Sand Canyon Road, California Highway Patrol Officer Elizabeth Kravig told City News Service.
At least one vehicle struck the pedestrian, Kravig said.
The pedestrian now identified as Rodriguez was pronounced dead at the scene.
A source at the scene said one of the vehicles involved in the crash was a big rig. No further information on the crash was immediately available.
