PALMDALE – Residents can enjoy free goodies while browsing for books, and meet representatives from all four Hogwarts houses at the Harry Potter Birthday Bash this Friday.
It’s happening from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, July 28, at the Palmdale City Library, located at 700 East Palmdale Boulevard. Attendees are encouraged to wear muggle or wizard attire. The event also will celebrate the end of the Summer Reading Program. Kids, teens, and adults who completed the program will be entered into a raffle to win prizes. Admission is free.
Fill-a-Bag Book Sale!
Residents are encouraged to support the Friends of the Library’s book sale this Saturday, July 29.
The “fill-a-bag” book sale is happening from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and it includes a wide selection of gently-used fiction, non-fiction and children’s books, as well as DVDs and CDs. Shoppers may purchase bags for $2, $4, or $8, and each bag can then be filled with as many books or items as will fit into the bag.
Proceeds from the book sale benefit the Palmdale City Library.
The Palmdale City Library, located at 700 E.
