PALMDALE – A man was shot to death inside a Palmdale house Sunday night, and authorities have named the suspect, who fled the scene after the shooting.
The incident occurred around 8:57 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 27, in the 37500 block of Sabal Street, according to news release from the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
“Palmdale Sheriff’s Station deputies responded… regarding a 911 hang up and assault call. Upon arriving, deputies discovered one gunshot victim inside the residence,” the news release states.
The victim, whose name was not immediately released, was pronounced dead at the scene, sheriff’s officials said.
Homicide detectives conducted a crime scene investigation and learned there was a disturbance or argument before the shooting involving residents of the house, sheriff’s Lt. Omar Camacho told reporters at the scene.
“The male Hispanic suspect, Andrew Plancarte (20), fled the scene after the shooting. A firearm was recovered at the location,” the sheriff’s news release states.
