An emerging issue is too, is several large companies have set up warehouses in Mettler on a very large scale companies like Saloncentric from Castiac area, therefore attracting labor from the AV. Way shorter than the Tehachapi route. Cal Trans planning is decades in the making not very adaptive.
Crossroads says
Yes the city should invest into the public safety since there always worried about people wearing mask maybe the should put a divider
Tim Scott says
Uhhhh…cities don’t upgrade state highways.
Crossroads says
@
Templer Thank you Sir. I’m Glad you understand what I was saying not like Miss. technical sissy Scott
Tim Scott says
I understood you, just pointed out that what you are saying is wrong. If you want something done about 138, lobby with CalTrans and pressure for better state representation. Pressuring the city is wasting your time and theirs.
HMR says
People need to pay attention while driving! Has nothing to do with the road! How do you not see a semi coming at you? RIP sit
Brianna says
Because he was driving at night and his sight was not very good. He was coming home from spreading my grandmothers ashes. Be respectful.

The last pass…
Bob says
SR-138 a.k.a. Avenue D desperately needs some passing lanes! Too many fatalities on that road over the years…
Tim Scott says
While this crash is apparently a result of an attempted pass, I think there are actually more fatalities on 138 at intersections because of people screwing up at stop signs. 138 hit sufficient traffic volume to justify a limited access highway a LONG time ago, and if we ever had any quality representation in Sacramento it would have been built by now.
Stinger says
I agree. It was never meant to become as heavily used as it is now. It is time to upgrade it.
Templer says
The stumbling block is the so called “high desert corridor” was a pipe dream. And widening 138 though Littlerock just won’t work without rebuilding the whole town. Cal trans doesn’t want expand AVE D -138, because they want commerce traffic to route through 58, but the higher flow of residential traffic let alone the so called Ft Tejon community in the works makes 138 the new high stakes hwy, especially when the 5 closes southbound south of 138.
