PALMDALE – A man who was shot to death inside a Palmdale house Sunday night — possibly the result of a domestic dispute — was identified by county authorities.
He was 27-year-old Carlos Olvera, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
The shooting occurred around 8:57 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 27, in the 37500 block of Sabal Street, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
“Palmdale Sheriff’s Station deputies responded… regarding a 911 hang up and assault call. Upon arriving, deputies discovered one gunshot victim inside the residence,” a sheriff’s news release states. Olvera was pronounced dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives conducted a crime scene investigation and learned there was a disturbance or argument before the shooting involving residents of the house, according to sheriff’s Lt. Omar Camacho.
The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Andrew Plancarte, left the scene after the shooting, Camacho said. A firearm was recovered at the scene.
Anyone with information was asked to call 323-890-5500 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
