LANCASTER – A person was transported to a hospital Friday afternoon in unknown condition after being struck by a vehicle near a school in Lancaster, authorities said.
The incident was reported around 3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, near the intersection of East Avenue K-2 and Challenger Way. Authorities responded to a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle, according to sources at the scene.
First responders transported the victim to a hospital in unknown condition. It’s unclear if the driver remained at the scene following the collision.
The investigation remains under investigation, according to a Lancaster Sheriff’s Station spokesperson. No further information on the incident was immediately available.

UPDATE: A source close to the incident advised The AV Times that it was actually an adult [not a child] who got struck by the vehicle, and the collision happened in front of New Vista Middle School. The incident remains under investigation, and the sheriff’s department has released no further information concerning the incident.
