Man shot and killed in Lancaster

LANCASTER – A man was shot and killed Sunday morning in Lancaster, authorities said.

The shooting was reported around 1:46 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, on the 44800 block of Fig Avenue, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.

Paramedics rushed the victim to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. His name has not yet been released pending next of kin notification, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Officer. No further information was immediately released.

Anyone with information regarding the shooting was urged to call the sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500. Anonymous tipsters may also call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS, or use the website lacrimestoppers.org.

To this man’s family and friends who are hurting and had their worked suddenly turned upside down I send you my heartfelt sympathy and sincere condolences and I hope the person who did this is found so perhaps at least you will have some comfort and closure if you are able to see the person brought to justice.

    Also i think it’s sad that at a time like this some people for lack of a better word, who have no human emotions would make i don’t even know what the word is, childish perhaps unless they truly know something then they should do what’s right whatever that may be but i know making repeated uncalled for contents is not the thing. Thought you had to be an adult to post here.

    But again my sympathy to family and friends if this man.

    • Marvin is the Vice Mayor and does the day to day enforcement for the Mayor. His job also requires that he call rex daily to report on any issues that may require a decision.

    • Lancaster has gone to crap under the “leadership” of Mayor Raymond Rex Parris. Maybe if he lived here he would be more in tune to what is going on.

      • Would you want to live there if you had a mansion in Laguna? I think they should sentence him to some time here in Lancaster tho since he wants to make so these stupid changes.

        But i totally agree with what you’re saying for sure.

        • I would leave Lancaster in a heartbeat. I can’t right now. But if he doesn’t want to live here, he shouldn’t be mayor. It’s not like he’s improved things. Lancaster is a mess. A top 10 most dangerous city, homelessness, cronyism. I can’t wait to leave.

        • If he doesn’t live here he shouldn’t be mayor. It’s not like he’s making Lancaster a better place. It’s gone way downhill. Especially east Lancaster, the forgotten land.

  7. Incidents like this are simply horrifying for liberals. They’re scared to death of being shot already.

    • Its not liberals who are so scaredy-pussy that they feel the need to carry weaponry to Walmart. That would be gun toting NRA GOPers. “Oh so scared of the big bad world I need to have a gun at all times!!”
