PALMDALE – Four suspects were taken into custody on Friday, Jan. 26, in connection with organized retail thefts throughout the Antelope Valley.
According to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau, Organized Retail Theft Taskforce investigators discovered during their investigation that a crew of four suspects had committed retail theft between Dec. 14 and Jan. 7 at Home Depot, Lowe’s, Target and Walmart. Sheriff officials said that one of the suspects was conducting a fence operation on 94th Street East in Littlerock.
Investigators executed a search warrant and recovered $300,000 in stolen tools, yard equipment, generators, clothing, A/C compressors, and various other items. A 9mm handgun and a .45 caliber handgun were also seized during the search.
Three suspects were arrested on suspicion of organized retail theft and grand theft. Two of those suspects were additionally booked on suspicion of being felons in possession of a firearm. The fourth suspect was arrested and booked on suspicion of operating a fence operation, sheriff’s officials said.
All four suspects were held on $50,000 bail at the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station. Their names were not immediately released.
