GLENDALE – A 28-year-old man suspected of participating in the flash robbery of the Nordstrom store at the Westfield Topanga shopping center was arrested.
A search and arrest warrant was served in Lancaster on Wednesday, Jan. 31, and 28-year-old Travelle Hamblet of Lancaster was arrested and booked for robbery, according to Sgt. Victor Jackson of the Glendale Police Department.
Detectives from the Glendale Police Department identified the additional suspect in the Aug. 12 robbery at the department store who was not previously known, Jackson said. The arrest was made by the Organized Retail Crime Task Force, which consists of detectives from the Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Burbank, Glendale, Santa Monica and Torrance police departments, Jackson said.
During the search, detectives recovered an unregistered handgun, an extended magazine, ammunition, and approximately $4,500 in cash, Jackson said.
