PALMDALE – An armed suspect who was allegedly holding three family members in a Palmdale home on Saturday eventually surrendered and was taken into custody, authorities said.
The incident was reported around 4:10 a.m. Saturday, March 9, in the 38000 block of Foxholm Drive, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.
It was not immediately known what time the suspect surrendered. Personnel from the sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau (SWAT) responded to the location to assist the sheriff’s Palmdale station with the incident.
Around 3:07 p.m. Saturday, sheriff’s officials posted on social media: “operation for an armed suspect holding 3 family members in a Palmdale house has concluded. Suspect in custody. Family released and safe.”
The suspect names was not released, and no further information was immediately available on the incident.
